Staten Island NY Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) Secretary Notes

Information gathered from SI AA Members and other Staten Island AA Meeting information sites

Service opportunities are available to help carry the message into Staten Island detoxes, rehabs and the Arthur kill correctional facility. Groups and individual members are needed, particularly chairpersons with one or more years of sobriety. If this kind of service interest you please attend the next Institutions and corrections meeting service meeting, held on the fourth Mon. of each month at the HOW Club, 552 Port Richmond Ave.

First Step Group has a new location. De Matti Playground..   the meeting will be the same time. It is located on Tompkins Ave.   @   Chestnut St. & Shaughnessy Ln. They will meet there while we continue to search for a new location (as Cromwell is closed for construction).

Staten Island is hosting this years Bill W. Dinner Dance on November 13th 2010, 7:00pm at the New York Hilton Hotel in Manhattan. Since we are hosting this years event, we would like to see a large turn out. Tickets for this event are $100.00 each and are purchased by the table. This event is New York Intergroup's only annual fundraiser. All proceeds from this event go towards keeping the lines and doors open at Intergroup for AA members. In order to obtain a table with ten seats, a member of your group has to attend the table lottery on June 17th 7:00 pm at the Manhattan Hilton Hotel with a minimum of $500.00. This is a great AA event with excellent speakers, great food, and a live band/DJ! You don't want to miss it! For questions or interest in doing service for the event please call Mae L. @ 908-494-4917. Thanks!
